An Update to Community Points and Achievement Notifications 🏆
Hey, everyone. On Monday, I announced the launch of the new Oz Visa Forum gamification program, and it’s great to see you all building your balance of community points and achievements.
This is just a heads-up that we have scaled back the number of email notifications sent out when new achievements are awarded. We found that if users logged in, posted a forum post, and replied to a few other posts, they would receive notification emails for each event!
In the interim, notifications of points awarded will continue to appear in our site activity and your individual community timelines (available here)
We have also added a new menu option to your profile menus (at the top right of the page) when viewing on a desktop or in the sidebar menu. If you are visiting us ion your mobile, you will find the option in the menu dropdown “My Points and Achievements.” (see screenshots) This option will take you to a page where you can view your points balance, any achievements you have been awarded, and the most recent points allocated to your balance.
As with many features, we are finding that we have a better idea of how to use them effectively as people start to use them.
Our rewards scheme is no different, and we plan to announce several further tweaks in the coming weeks.
