Hi Wajid, welcome to our community and thanks for reaching out!

As a chef (ANZSCO 351311), you may have pathways to work in Australia, but your PTE score of 41 is too low for most employer-sponsored or skilled migration visas.

Here’s what you need to do:

    1. Improve Your English Score – Most work visas require at least Competent English (PTE 50 in each section). Some employer-sponsored visas may accept lower scores, but higher scores improve your chances. Check out our IELTS preparation videos here. Although focused on the IELTS exam, the tips will still help with your PTE scores

    2. Find Employer Sponsorship – You can apply for jobs with visa sponsorship through:

https://482jobs.com (All jobs here offer visa sponsorship)

    https://seek.com.au

    https://indeed.com.au

    3. Consider a Skills Assessment – If you want Permanent Residency (PR) later, you’ll need a skills assessment from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au.

    4. Possible Visa Options:

Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Subclass 482) – Requires employer sponsorship and English proficiency.

Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189) or State-Nominated (Subclass 190/491) – Requires a higher English score and points-based eligibility.

Training Visa (Subclass 407) – If you can get a training opportunity in Australia.

If you can increase your English score and secure a job offer, your chances of working in Australia will be much higher. Let me know if you need more details!

    All the best
