Hello, I am Dr. Ehsani from Iran. I am 45 years old and have a PhD in Veterinary Medicine specializing in internal diseases of large animals and I have 14 years of work experience. Veterinary Surgeons (ANZSCO 234711) are actually in high demand across all of Australia, not just in regional areas. So while the DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) visa is a valid option, it’s typically used to help fill roles that are harder to source in cities.
In your case, you may have broader options, including the standard Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) or even the Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186), depending on the employer.
