Welcome to our community Aqib! Thanks for introducing yourself. I’m not a dentist or dental expert myself, so I’ll let others with hands-on experience chime in. But I’m happy to share some info that might help get you started.

The ANZSCO (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations) code for Dental Assistant is 423211.

This occupation is currently not listed on the MLTSSL (Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List), STSOL (Short-term Skilled Occupation List), or ROL (Regional Occupation List), which means it’s not eligible for most standard skilled visas like the subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) or 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme). However, some regions may offer options through a DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement).

You can still look for job opportunities that might lead to employer sponsorship or onshore pathways. A good place to start is:

482jobs.com – this is our own job board, and every job here offers verified Australia Visa sponsorship: https://482jobs.com

You can check the general listings or hospitality/healthcare roles depending on your experience.

    Seek – https://seek.com.au

    Indeed – https://indeed.com.au

For these sites, use search terms like “visa sponsorship dental assistant” to filter relevant roles.

If you’re already in Australia on a different visa, local experience or training may help. And don’t forget to submit your resume here for more visibility with Australian employers: https://482jobs.com/candidates/submit-resume/

I hope this helps, and fingers crossed a dental assistant or hygienist on the forum jumps in soon to share more specific advice! 🙂

    All the best
