Hi Alazar, welcome to the community and thanks for your message! 🙂

It sounds like you’re interested in becoming an Australian citizen in the future, which is a great goal, but before that can happen, there are a few important steps.

To help guide you properly, we’d love to know a bit more about your situation:

    1. Are you currently living in Australia or still in Ethiopia?
    2. Do you already hold any type of Australian visa, or are you hoping to apply for one?
    3. What kind of work or study do you do,or plan to do, in Australia?
    4. How much experience do you have in your current occupations.

Once we know more about where you’re starting from, we can explain the best visa pathways that could eventually lead to citizenship.

Looking forward to helping you on your journey!

    Regards

    Mark

Hi Alazar, thanks for your reply!

Since you are still in Ethiopia and want to move to Australia for work, the first step is to find a job offer from an Australian employer who is willing to sponsor you for a visa. Based on your experience as a salesperson, you would likely be looking for a sponsored position under the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482).

To find jobs that offer visa sponsorship:

    1. Visit https://482jobs.com – this is one of our own websites, and all jobs listed here offer Australia visa sponsorship.

    2. You can also check https://seek.com.au and https://indeed.com.au for more job opportunities.

Please keep in mind that jobs in sales are not always easy to sponsor unless they are in very specific industries or senior roles.

You may want to also look at broadening your skills or targeting industries like hospitality, tourism, or trades where there are more sponsorship opportunities.

I also recommend reading this article to improve your resume to Australian standards:

And once your resume is ready, you can upload it here to be seen by Australian employers: https://482jobs.com/candidates/submit-resume/

Let us know if you would like advice on study options too, as studying in Australia can also be a good long-term pathway to citizenship.

    All the best
