• I am currently seeking a sponsor for the 482 visa to work in Australia.

I am an experienced English teacher with 14 years of teaching in both schools and language institutes. I have received a positive skills assessment from VETASSESS Australia and am currently awaiting an invitation under the General Skilled Migration program. However, due to the recent pause in invitation rounds for my occupation, I have decided to pursue the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa pathway.

I am highly motivated to find a sponsor and am willing to cover all associated costs myself. I am passionate about continuing my teaching career in Australia and contributing meaningfully to the education sector.

Thanks for sharing your situation, Zahra and welcome to our community 🙂.

Since you are an English teacher, the relevant ANZSCO code is usually ANZSCO 241111 (Early Childhood Teacher) or ANZSCO 241411 (Secondary School Teacher) depending on your exact role.

Both of these, as you are likely aware, given you have an EOI in play are currently on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), which makes them eligible for the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa as well as permanent pathways later.

To find Australia Visa sponsorship jobs for teachers, we’d recommend our dedicated job board:

Education & Teaching Jobs with verified sponsorship: Click Here

Every listing on 482jobs.com has been checked to ensure that the employer offers Australia Visa sponsorship. This will save you a lot of time compared to searching general job boards.

    You can also look at:

    Seek: https://seek.com.au

    Indeed: https://indeed.com.au

On these sites, be sure to use keywords like “visa sponsorship” or “482 visa” in your search.

I also recommend you upload your resume here to increase your visibility with Australian employers:

And make sure your CV is in the right format for Australian recruiters:

You’re on the right track by keeping both General Skilled Migration and the 482 pathway open. Teachers remain in demand in Australia, and your strong background plus positive VETASSESS assessment put you in a great position.

I hope this helps you take the next step. Wishing you every success in securing sponsorship and continuing your teaching journey in Australia.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you go.

    Regards

    Mark
