Introducing Gamification on Oz Visa Forum – Earn Points, Achievements & Rewards!
Hey everyone! I hope you are all settling in well. 😊
At Oz Visa Forum, we’re introducing a fun way to recognise and reward our members for actively contributing to the community.
We’ve introduced Points and Achievements, which allow you to earn rewards for participating in discussions, helping others, and engaging with the forum. Here’s how it works:
🎯 Community Points
Community Points are earned by participating in the forum. Right now, you can earn points for:
- Visiting the forum – Earn 10 points just for logging in each day.
- Starting a new forum topic – Help keep discussions going! Earn 20 points for creating a new topic.
- Replying to a topic – Conversations thrive on engagement. Earn 10 points when you reply to a post.
However, points can also be deducted in certain situations:
- If our moderation team removes a forum post, you will lose 25 points.
- If a reply is removed, you will lose 15 points.
You will note you can lose more points for having a post removed than earned points for making posts – this is to discourage random posts for additional points. 😏
🏅 Achievements & Medals
In addition to points, we’ve introduced Achievements, which are awarded in the form of medals. Right now, we have two medals available.
🏆 Profile Complete Medal
When you first join our community you will see a prompt to complete your profile. By Fully completing your member profile, you make it easier for others to connect with you. Once all required fields are filled, you’ll be awarded the Profile Complete Medal – a badge of recognition for your commitment to the community.
🌟 Loyal Member Medal
If you visit Oz Visa Forum on 7 different days in a single month, you’ll receive the Loyal Member Medal, recognising your dedication and ongoing engagement with the community. 🥰
📊 Visit Our Leaderboard?
Interested to see how you’ve made it into the top 20 this past week – You can now visit our Leaderboard to see where you rank amongst our community. Check out our weekly leaderboard by Clicking Here.
🎁 Will Points Lead to Prizes?
We’re not sure how this is going to go but Yes, potentially!
As the community grows, we’ll explore offering real rewards for active members. This could include perks like free upgrades to premium services on our other sites. Our Sponsored job boards, for example, at 482jobs.com, offer 482 Job Club Access or Featured résumé promotions.
We will look to reward members on the Oz Visa Forum who reach a certain points threshold with free access to some of these services as a thank you for your contributions here. For example, ‘x’ number of points will grant you 1 months free access to the 482 Job Club as an example.
This is just the beginning—as we grow, more ways to earn points, earn achievements and unlock new ranks will be added. So get involved, have fun, and start earning rewards!

Hello Sheu, this is still work in progress. In its most simple form it’s a bit of fun though we do intend to offer benefits to members when they reach certain ranks/point thresholds.
For example, as we run a network of Australia migration related sites, this will likely include an ad free experience on Oz Visa Jobs and free access to some of our other services such as free 482job club memberships on our other website https://482jobs.com
Ultimately, we need to let it run for a while first so we can gage how many points is a reasonably accessible level.
So far, we have members who ask a question, get an answer and never respond again so we’re trying to encourage a little more ‘community’ interaction as that is where we hope to see our site going in the future.
