Hi Paul, thanks for your message and welcome to our community! 🙂
As a painter, your occupation falls under ANZSCO Code 332211 – Painting Trades Worker, which is currently listed on the Regional Occupation List (ROL).
This means you may be eligible for employer-sponsored visas like the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Subclass 482 visa, if you find an Australian employer willing to sponsor you.
Here’s how you can get started:
1. Search for Sponsorship Jobs: To find jobs that offer sponsorship:
https://482jobs.com – This is one of our own websites and all jobs listed here offer Australia Visa Sponsorship. The job category here might be appropriate for your job as a painter: https://482jobs.com/job-category/trades-services/
https://seek.com.au – Type “Painter visa sponsorship” in the search bar, select “All Australia” or your preferred location, and check the job ads for keywords like “482 visa sponsorship” or “TSS visa”.
https://indeed.com.au – Enter “Painter visa sponsorship” as your keyword and set location to “Australia”. Use filters like Job Type or Location, and look through listings for mentions of visa sponsorship.
2. Format Your Resume for Australia: Make sure your resume matches Australian standards. Here’s a helpful guide:
Australia Resume Tips: Craft a Winning Resume in Australia – https://482jobs.com/australia-resume-tips-craft-winning-resume/
3. Submit Your Resume to Recruiters: Upload your resume to our database so Australian employers can find you:

4. Consider Regional or DAMA Pathways: Some regional areas in Australia have special agreements (DAMA) that make it easier to sponsor skilled tradespeople. If you’re open to working in a regional area, this could be a great option.
I hope this gives you a clear starting point. Feel free to reach out with more questions at any time!
Kind regards,
Mark
