    Hi Mohamed,

Welcome to the forum! It’s great to hear that you’ve already completed the Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences (KAPS) and the Occupational English Test (OET). These are crucial steps towards becoming a registered pharmacist in Australia.

To secure a full-time internship as an overseas pharmacist in Australia, you will need to find an employer willing to offer you an intern position and, ideally, visa sponsorship. Here are some steps that may help you in your job search:

    • Apply for an Internship Position – Many community and hospital pharmacies offer internships for overseas pharmacists. You can check major job portals such as:

      • 482jobs.com – All jobs here are confirmed as offering visa sponsorship.
      • Seek and Indeed – Search for “pharmacist internship sponsorship” or similar keywords.
    • Contact Large Pharmacy Chains in Australia – Companies like Chemist Warehouse, Priceline Pharmacy, TerryWhite Chemmart, and Ramsay Health Care sometimes offer internships with potential sponsorship.

    • State and Territory RegistrationBefore starting your internship, you will need provisional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. You can apply through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) here.

    • Visa Options – If you secure an internship with sponsorship, your most relevant visa options may include:

      • Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Subclass 482) – If your employer is an approved sponsor and the pharmacist occupation is listed as eligible.
      • Training Visa (Subclass 407) – If the internship is considered structured workplace-based training.

Your 9 years of experience as a Retail Pharmacy Manager and Hospital Pharmacist could also help you apply for permanent residency later through the Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189) or Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) if you meet the points criteria.

I hope this information helps! Feel free to ask if you need further guidance.

    Regards,
    Mark
