  • Looking after Sponsorship Job

Posted by Krishna on February 28, 2025 at 10:57 am

    Hi,

I am Krishna, a Civil Engineer, and I have been residing in Australia for the past three years with my husband, who is a Maintenance Technician/Fitter.

Due to our current visa circumstances, we are actively looking for job opportunities that offer visa sponsorship for either of our profiles, anywhere in Australia.

We would greatly appreciate your support if you have any contacts, suggestions, or leads. Please feel free to reach out. on -snipped-

    Thank you in advance!

    Best regards,

    Krishna

Welcome to our community Krishna. 😊

It’s great that you’re actively seeking sponsorship opportunities (though I am curious: what visa, if any, are you on now, given you have been in Australia for some time)? 🤔

Here are some resources that can help you find jobs offering visa sponsorship:

    1. 482jobs.com – This is our dedicated job board where all listed roles offer visa sponsorship: https://482jobs.com
    2. Seek – Many sponsored jobs are listed here: https://seek.com.au
    3. Indeed – Another job platform where you can filter for visa-sponsored roles: https://indeed.com.au
    4. LinkedIn – Networking and direct job applications can be highly effective: https://linkedin.com

Sponsorship opportunities often exist for Civil Engineers (ANZSCO 233211) and Maintenance Technicians/Fitters (ANZSCO 323211), especially in regional areas.

If you’re open to regional areas, checking DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) regions could also be beneficial, as they often have more flexible visa conditions.

    Hope this helps!

Best of luck with your job search. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    All the best

    Hii,
    We’re on Bridging Visa now.
    Thankyou for the sources,
but I’ve been through all the sources already in last 3 months, and still waiting.

    Hi again Krishna.

OK, It sounds like you’ve been actively searching which I appreciate will be frustrating.

Since you’re on a Bridging Visa, I assume you’re either waiting on a visa decision or have limited work rights, which can make things even more challenging.😬

If you’ve already applied through major platforms like 482jobs.com, Seek, Indeed, and LinkedIn, here are some additional targeted strategies:

    1. Direct Outreach to Sponsoring Companies – Some Australian companies have a strong history of sponsoring skilled migrants, especially in engineering and trade fields. You could check:

Civmec (www.civmec.com.au) – A major engineering and construction company that frequently sponsors skilled workers.

Monadelphous (www.monadelphous.com.au) – An engineering and construction services provider with projects across Australia.

UGL (www.ugllimited.com) – A key player in infrastructure, engineering, and maintenance services.

Downer Group (www.downergroup.com) – Involved in infrastructure and asset management, often hiring skilled workers.

I recommend reaching out to HR or recruitment teams directly via LinkedIn or their websites to ask about sponsorship opportunities.

    2. Regional & DAMA Pathways – Many regional employers are open to sponsorship, and DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) regions offer relaxed visa conditions. Some DAMA regions include:

Northern Territory DAMA – Strong demand for skilled engineers and trades.

South Australia DAMA – Includes civil engineering and maintenance roles.

Far North Queensland DAMA – Opportunities in construction and infrastructure.

You can find more details on DAMA regions here: https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au

    3. Specialist Recruitment Agencies – Some recruiters focus on sponsored roles and skilled migrants. You may want to contact:

Airswift (https://airswift.com) – Specialises in engineering and technical roles.

Hays Recruitment https://hays.com.au) – Has divisions for engineering, construction, and trades.

Randstad Australia (https://randstad.com.au) – Covers various industries, including engineering and maintenance.

Techforce Personnel (https://techforce.com.au) – Focuses on engineering and mining sectors.

Many recruitment agencies prefer candidates already in Australia, which works to your advantage.

    4. Networking & Industry Events – Many jobs aren’t advertised online. Consider attending:

Engineers Australia Events – Check their website for industry networking events.

Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) – Often hosts industry gatherings.

Meetup.com – Look for industry-specific meetups in your area.

    5. Upskilling or Licensing – If you need to boost your credentials, consider:

Engineers Australia (https://engineersaustralia.org.au) – For skills assessments and professional recognition.

TAFE Courses – Some short courses can enhance employability.

Would you be open to sharing more details about your specific occupation and challenges? That way, I can offer even more tailored suggestions.

    All the best
