Looking for childcare worker sponsorship
Posted by Dipika on July 7, 2025 at 8:15 pmHi, this is Dipika. I am currently looking for sponsorship opportunities as a childcare worker in any area. At the moment, I am living in Sydney but am willing to move to a regional area if I secure sponsorship. I am currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I would appreciate any recommendations or advice you can offer. Thank you!

Hi Dipika, welcome and thanks for sharing your background! 🙂
Childcare workers fall under ANZSCO 421111 (Child Care Worker), which is on the Regional Occupation List (ROL).
This means you can be eligible for Australia Visa sponsorship through the subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) visa, but only in regional areas or under DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreements).
Since you’re open to relocating, that’s a great advantage!
Here’s how to start your job search:
1. Browse sponsored jobs here:
https://482jobs.com/job-category/education-teaching/
This is one of our own websites and every job listed here offers Australia Visa sponsorship.
2. Other job boards:
Seek: https://seek.com.au
Indeed: https://indeed.com.au
On these sites, make sure to use search terms like “482 visa” or “visa sponsorship” to filter relevant roles.
What happens after you graduate?
Once you complete your Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, you’ll have more visa pathways available:
1. Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)
You may be eligible for the Post-Study Work stream, giving you full work rights in Australia for 2 to 4 years.
This allows you time to gain experience and seek sponsorship.
2. Skilled visas (189, 190, 491)
If you qualify as an Early Childhood Teacher (ANZSCO 241111), which is on the MLTSSL (Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List), you can apply independently or via state nomination.
3. Employer-sponsored options
After gaining experience, you could be sponsored for a permanent visa like the subclass 186, or a regional visa like the subclass 494.
