    Hello,

I am actively seeking job opportunities in the mining and mineral processing field with visa sponsorship in Australia. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mining Engineering (Mineral Processing) from a recognized university in Georgia, my home country.

I bring over 4 years of experience in the mining industry, including:

    • 4 years as a Mineral Processing Operator, and

    • 7 months as a Process Engineer.

My hands-on experience includes working with a wide range of mineral processing equipment such as flotation cells, ball mills, filters (Larox, Diemme), and high-rate thickeners (Metso Outotec). I was actively involved in the modernization of a copper plant, including the installation of key process equipment, and later participated in the construction of a polymetallic plant.

I am proficient in DCS system, including AutoCAD and Excel, and have a strong understanding of mineral processing technologies from both an operational and engineering perspective.

In addition, I hold an English language certificate from Stafford House College, London, demonstrating my ability to work in English-speaking environments.

    Could anyone please advise:

    • How difficult is it to secure a job with visa sponsorship from overseas (especially through platforms like Seek.com or 482jobs.com)?

    • Any tips or recommendations for approaching potential employers from abroad?

I am open to all suggestions and guidance, and greatly appreciate any support or insight you can provide.

    Thank you!

Welcome to our community and thanks for your detailed post Beka, you’ve got solid qualifications and hands-on experience that are absolutely relevant to the Australian mining sector.

    To answer your questions:

    1. How difficult is it to get Australia Visa sponsorship from overseas?

It can be challenging but not impossible. The key is targeting roles that are actively offering sponsorship. Most jobs on Seek or Indeed don’t — you need to search for terms like “482 visa sponsorship” or “work visa available.”

To save time, start with 482jobs.com — this is one of our websites, and every job listed here has been verified as offering Australia Visa sponsorship.

For your field, I recommend checking this category: Mining, Resources & Energy Jobs with Visa Sponsorship in Australia

    Then you can also try:

    Seek: https://seek.com.au

Indeed: https://indeed.com.au Just remember to filter using keywords like “visa sponsorship” or “482 visa.”

    2. Tips for contacting Australian employers from overseas:

    Upload your resume here:

    Submit Your Resume to 482jobs.com

This helps Australian employers find you directly.

Your background aligns well with ANZSCO 312912 (Metallurgical or Materials Technician), which is on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). This opens pathways like:

Subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage visa)

    Subclass 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme)

Subclass 189 or 190 (if you later want a permanent skilled visa)

I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out with more questions any time. Wishing you the best of luck in your Australia journey!

    All the best
