    Hi Ahadun,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community! 😊

Based on your post, it sounds like you’ve worked in seafood export/import. That’s a great starting point, but to give you the best advice on moving to Australia for work, we’ll need a little more detail.

Could you please let us know:

    • Your current job title and day-to-day responsibilities

    • Whether you have any formal qualifications or certifications

    • Your level of English (have you taken any tests like IELTS or PTE?)

    • Any experience working overseas or with Australian companies

Also, let us know if you’re looking to work in a hands-on seafood processing role, logistics, management, or perhaps even business operations. There might be several potential visa options depending on your role.

Once we know more, we’ll be able to guide you on potential visa pathways and job opportunities.

Looking forward to hearing more from you!

    Warm regards,
    Mark

Hey Ahadun, thank you for your reply.

I created Ozvisaforum to help support people online. I was getting a lot of emails, and providing support via email just wasn’t viable.

You can read more about our story here. 😊

If you can explain here, then I can help. You don’t need to provide detailed personal information, just high-level information about your occupation, so we can assist you.

If you would rather have 1:1 personal support, I’d suggest reaching out to an Australian registered migration agent – we have an agent you can reach out to for an initial assessment, though they do charge for this service. See here for more information.

    Thanks for your understanding

    Regards

    Mark

    Hi Ahadun,

Thanks so much for your reply, and no worries at all, it’s great to hear from you again.

You’ve had quite a broad range of experience across tourism, hospitality, sales, and now seafood brokerage and supply. That’s a diverse background, giving us some good directions to explore.

To help narrow down the best visa and job options, I’d suggest we first look at which of your current or past roles might best match Australia’s skilled occupation lists. Your work in seafood export and supply could potentially link to roles like:

    • Importer or Exporter (ANZSCO 133311) – if you’re managing the end-to-end process of trading goods
    • Sales and Marketing Manager (ANZSCO 131112) – if your main role involves developing clients and negotiating deals
    • Production Manager (Manufacturing) (ANZSCO 133512) – if you’re directly managing seafood processing operations
    • Procurement Manager (ANZSCO 133612) – if your focus is more on sourcing and supplying products

We’ll need to match your duties to the right occupation code, so could you let me know:

What do your daily tasks involve in your current seafood role

Whether you’re involved in managing staff, logistics, processing operations, or just the buying/selling

If you have any contacts or business partners in Australia already

Since you’ve worked across several industries, depending on the job and location, there may also be employer sponsorship options in hospitality or sales.

Once we’ve got a clearer idea of your current role, we’ll explore the most realistic visa pathways for you.

    Looking forward to hearing more!

    Warm regards,

    Mark

    Hi Ahadun,

Thank you so much for the detailed update—it’s really impressive that you’ve learned and handled every part of the seafood export process yourself. That shows a lot of initiative and experience, which could be very valuable here in Australia.

Based on what you’ve shared, your role sounds closely aligned with the occupation Importer or Exporter (ANZSCO 133311) or potentially Procurement Manager (ANZSCO 133612). However, since you also manage packaging, container logistics, and export documentation, parts of your work may also overlap with Production Manager (Manufacturing) (ANZSCO 133512).

These roles are generally listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) or Regional Occupation List (ROL), which may allow for employer sponsorship under the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) 482 visa, especially in regional areas.

To explore job opportunities that offer visa sponsorship, I recommend the following steps:

    1. Start your job search here:
https://482jobs.com – This is one of our own websites, and every job listed here offers visa sponsorship.
For your background, try the Trades & Services category: https://482jobs.com/job-category/trades-services/

    2. Upload your resume here to be visible to Australian employers who are actively looking for overseas talent:
      https://482jobs.com/candidates/submit-resume/

    3. You can also search these major job sites, but please make sure the employer offers sponsorship before applying:

If you haven’t already, I also recommend updating your resume to meet Australian standards. Here’s a helpful article to guide you:

You’re clearly hardworking and adaptable, and with the right opportunity, you could be a great fit for the Australian workforce. Let’s keep working together to find the right path for you.

    Warm regards,
    Mark
