Greetings everyone! I am reaching out to seek assistance in finding new employment opportunities. For 8 years I’ve worked in a Power Generation industry, operating and maintaining boilers and steam turbines. My work revolves around ensuring that our power generation processes run smoothly and safely always.

I’ve been hands-on in overseeing daily operations and maintenance of steam turbines and boilers, focusing on keeping everything running efficiently and addressing any issues that come up, making sure they operate optimally and meet strict safety standards.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about the innovative nature of energy companies, where my passion for power generation makes real differences. I’m ideally looking for Power Station Operator, Control Room Operator or Turbine/Boiler Room Operator or any power generation related roles.

I’m open to relocation. If you’re hiring or know of opportunities where my skills could make an impact, I’d love to connect and chat further. Do you know anyone in the power generation industry who can help? Your help will be much appreciated.

Hi Themba, welcome to the community! 😊

With your experience, you have some good foundations for roles in Australia.

For visa-sponsored job opportunities, I recommend checking our website at 482jobs.com. All listed jobs have been hand-checked and are confirmed as offering visa sponsorship. You can also explore Seek and Indeed for more opportunities, though you will need to filter the search results for sponsored opportunities as both sponsored and non-sponsored will be listed.

With 482 jobs, I’d also recommend you upload your resume to the resume database via the link here. Australian recruiters have access to this resume database and frequently search for overseas candidates who may be a match for roles they have here in Australia.

Additionally, networking through LinkedIn and contacting energy companies directly could help you connect with industry professionals. You may want to look into companies like AGL Energy, Origin Energy, and Snowy Hydro, as they often hire in this sector.

Your occupation, Power Generation Plant Operator (ANZSCO 399213), is on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). This opens pathways like the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482) and the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 494).

    Skills Assessment:

A positive skills assessment from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) is essential for migration. Ensure your qualifications and experience align with Australian standards.

Best of luck with your job search! If you have any questions, please let me know.

    All the best

    Mark
