  • Request for Support – Moving to Australia for a Better Future

Posted by Muhammad on June 3, 2025 at 1:34 pm

My name is Muhammad Abu Bakar, and I am a final-year Software Engineering student. It is my dream to move to Australia to build a better future and contribute to the technology sector. I have applied to many companies for job opportunities but have not yet received any offer letters.

Unfortunately, I do not have the financial means to support my relocation. Despite this, I am highly motivated and committed to using my education and skills to succeed. I am looking for any assistance, scholarship, or opportunity that can help me move to Australia and begin my professional career.

I would be truly grateful for any kind of guidance or support.

    Kind regards,
    Muhammad Abu Bakar

I’m also facing financial challenges, which have held back my career growth and made it difficult for me to move to Australia. I’ve applied to many opportunities, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any positive responses so far. It feels like bad luck, but I’m still trying and staying hopeful.

Thanks for sharing your story, Muhammad. Your motivation and perseverance are admirable, and you’re certainly not alone; many aspiring migrants face similar challenges, especially around finances and visa sponsorship.

Regarding scholarships in Australia, here are a few points to consider:

    1. Scholarships Available
There are scholarships in Australia specifically for international students, particularly at the postgraduate (Masters or PhD) level. Some major options include:

    2. Common Challenges

    • Most scholarships require admission first – You’ll need to apply for a program and be accepted before being considered for most scholarships.

    • Limited undergraduate support – Scholarships are more common for postgraduate studies.

    • Highly competitive – Due to limited spots and high demand.

    • Visa restrictions – Most student visas (subclass 500) require proof of financial support, even with scholarships. You must show you can support living costs unless fully funded.

    3. Alternative Suggestions
Since your background is in software engineering (ANZSCO 261313), which is on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), you could also consider:

Seek and Indeed are free to use, though you will need to spend time filtering through the job results, as most of the jobs advertised do not come with visa sponsorship.

    Kind regards,
