As a welder, you may be eligible for visa sponsorship under the occupation Welder (First Class), which falls under ANZSCO 322313.
This occupation is currently listed on both the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) and on several DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) occupation lists.
This means it can be sponsored through:
1. Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Subclass 482 Visa – short-term stream, if an employer is willing to sponsor you.
2. Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Subclass 494 Visa – if sponsored in a regional area.
3. Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMA) – offers concessions and access to pathways in specific regions.
