How can an overseas applicant acquire an Australian driving licence? Or can it be done as part of skill assessment process?

2. Gather Required Documents:
You will typically need things such as
- Educational qualifications
- Work experience proof (employment letters, payslips)
- Identity documents
- English proficiency test results (if required)
3. Submit Application:
Apply online through the assessing authority’s website
Pay the required fees
4. Await Outcome:
Processing times vary, usually from a few weeks to several months
Regarding an Australian driving licence, it is not part of the skill assessment process. However, as a Kenyan licence holder, you may need to pass a knowledge and/or driving test depending on the state or territory.
You can check the requirements on the transport authority website of the state where you plan to live (e.g., VicRoads for Victoria, Service NSW for New South Wales).
