SPAM 🤬
Hey everyone, I signed in this morning, and it looks like we were hit pretty hard by a large number of spam bots posting Junky forum posts about American Airlines customer support and other obscure subjects. 🤷
We employ several anti-spam measures here at Ozvisaforum to keep our forums clean of spam; however, it appears that they were bypassed on this occasion.
I have removed all user accounts involved in creating these posts and made some minor adjustments to our anti-spam measures.
How You Can Help Keep Our Forums Safe for Everyone.
In the meantime, if I may use this as an opportunity to bring our “Report Post” feature to your attention.
If you see any post at any time that you don’t believe should be on our forums. If you can please report these posts.
Clicking the three dots at the top of the post (see screenshot) will display an option to report the post.
This will not only bring these posts to our attention, but if multiple users report the ssm post, it will also hide it from our other community users.
Sorry to those of you who may have received multiple notifications when new posts were added to any forums you may have been subscribed to.
We will monitor our forums for ongoing SPAM and will take the necessary action.
