Hi Ritesh, welcome to our community and thank you for sharing your background!

To be eligible for employer sponsorship in Australia under the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa – subclass 482, your occupation must appear on one of Australia’s skilled occupation lists:

    • MLTSSL = Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List
    • STSOL = Short-term Skilled Occupation List
    • ROL = Regional Occupation List

From your experience, here are some notes:

    1. Clerical Work – Most general clerical roles are not eligible for employer-sponsored visas unless they fall under more specialised occupations (like Office Manager – ANZSCO 512111), which are on the STSOL.

    2. Driver (Light Vehicle or Delivery Driver) – Unfortunately, roles such as Light Truck Driver (ANZSCO 733111) or Chauffeur (ANZSCO 731111) are not currently eligible for standard 482 visa sponsorship, unless through a DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) in certain regional areas.
