Hello Saqlain, and welcome to our community! 🙂
To apply for an Australian visa as an Automotive Electrician (ANZSCO 321111), follow these key steps:
1. Check Eligibility
Automotive Electrician is currently listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), meaning you may be eligible for visas such as:
- Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) – No sponsorship required
- Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) – Requires nomination by an Australian state or territory
- Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) – Requires regional nomination
- Employer-Sponsored Visas (e.g., subclass 482, 186, 494) – Requires a job offer from an Australian employer
2. Skills Assessment
You must get your skills assessed by TRA (Trades Recognition Australia). Since you are outside Australia, you will likely need to complete the Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP).
More details: https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au3. English Language Requirement
You need to take an English test like IELTS, PTE, or TOEFL. Generally, a minimum of IELTS 6.0 in each band is required for most skilled visas.
4. Expression of Interest (EOI) & Visa Application
- Submit an EOI through SkillSelect at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au
- If invited, apply for the visa within the given timeframe
5. Employer-Sponsored Pathway (Alternative Option)
If you want a sponsored visa, look for jobs in Australia that offer visa sponsorship. You can check:
- https://482jobs.com (All jobs here offer sponsorship)
Since you are living in Saudi Arabia, you can apply from there and, once approved, move to Australia directly.
Please let me know if you have further questions or need help understanding a specific visa pathway?
All the best
Mark
