Hi there @Suraj and welcome to our community!

Based on the information provided, here is a basic overview of potential pathways for migrating to Australia

    1. Relevant Occupations and ANZSCO Codes:

Given your background, the following occupations in Australia align with your experience:

    • Medical Laboratory Technician (ANZSCO Code: 311213): Performs routine medical laboratory tests and operates diagnostic laboratory equipment under the supervision of Medical Laboratory Scientists and Pathologists. More info here.

    • Personal Care Assistant (ANZSCO Code: 423313): Provides routine personal care services to people in a range of health care facilities or in a person’s home. More info here.

Upon reviewing the current information from the Australian Department of Home Affairs, I can confirm that the occupation of Medical Laboratory Technician (ANZSCO Code: 311213) is listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). Unfortunately, the occupation of Personal Care Assistant does not currently qualify for Australia Visa sponsorship if this is the occupation with which your experience more closely aligns.

    Visa Options:

Given that the Medical Laboratory Technician (ANZSCO Code: 311213) is on the STSOL, you may consider the following visa options:

    • Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190): This is a points-tested visa that requires nomination by an Australian state or territory government.

    • Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491): This is a points-tested visa for skilled workers nominated to live and work in regional Australia.

    • Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (subclass 482): This visa allows employers to address labor shortages by bringing in skilled workers where they cannot source an appropriately skilled Australian.

    High-Level Overview of the Process:

    1. Skills Assessment: Obtain a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation. For Medical Laboratory Technicians, the assessing authority is the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS). – Link to AIMS

    2. Expression of Interest (EOI): Submit an EOI through the Department of Home Affairs’ SkillSelect system, indicating your interest in applying for a skilled visa.

    3. State/Territory Nomination (if applicable): If applying for a nominated visa, seek nomination from an Australian state or territory.

    4. Visa Application: Once invited, lodge a visa application, providing evidence of your skills, qualifications, English proficiency, and work experience.

    Recommendations:

    • Qualifications: Ensure your diplomas are recognized as equivalent to Australian standards.

    • Work Experience: Accumulate relevant work experience in your chosen field to strengthen your application.

    • English Proficiency: Achieve a high score in an English language test accepted by Australian immigration authorities.

I hope this helps? Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best regards,

    Mark
