Hey there, everyone – I am including this as a placeholder for the email I’m going to issue to our community very shortly – if you have any questions about the content of our email – please feel free to reply to this thread. Email below:

    How are you doing?

It’s been seriously warm here in Australia lately – despite it being Autumn, we’ve been seeing temps soaring into the high 30s (Celsius!) across much of the country.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a little over two months since we launched Oz Visa Forum, and I’m really grateful for the way the community continues to grow and support each other. We’ve now passed 1,600 members, with over 500 questions posted and 1,800+ replies so far – an incredible start!

As we continue to grow, I think it’s important we stay connected as a community. After all, many of you share the same common goal – making the move to Australia – and as a collective, you’re far more likely to succeed.

Over the past few weeks, there’ve been some excellent questions and conversations on the forum. Here are a few highlights you might enjoy:

Lyndon asked a really interesting question about the requirements for moving to Australia on a 482 visa, especially for those coming from Papua New Guinea. He’s keen to know whether things like a skills assessment or IELTS are needed when an employer agrees to sponsor you.

I hope you find something of interest in the posts above – there’s a lot of wisdom in the community, and these kinds of conversations are what make the forum so valuable.

Quick Tip: Use the Search Feature 🔍
If you’re looking for something specific, don’t forget to use the search bar (click the magnifying glass at the top of the forum). Our search engine pulls from forum posts and user profiles – so if you search for something like accountant, you’ll see posts mentioning it and also users who list it as their occupation.

You can even filter by visa type or country to find members who share similar paths. It’s a little like LinkedIn – and once you connect with others, you’ll be able to follow their activity, get updates, and build your own little support network within the forum.

That’s it from me for now – thanks for being a part of Oz Visa Forum. Whether you’re just starting to explore migration or already well on your way, there’s a place here for you.

P.S. We’ve had over 1,500 registrations but only around 500 new topics posted. That means a lot of you haven’t introduced yourselves yet! If you’ve been lurking, now’s the perfect time to say hi in our Introductions forum – we’d genuinely love to meet you.

If you have any questions or thoughts about this email, I’ve posted it on the forum as well – feel free to reply there: Read this newsletter on the forumthis post 😊
