Nice to hear from you again, Ahadun 😊

Hi mark how are you doing

By the way, please if you know or have recommendation for agent in aussie to take care of visa

    Thanks

We’d recommend Satinder, a MARA registered migration agent. You can book him him for an initial assessment. More information via the link here .

Typically, once you have had the initial 30-minute assessment, Satinder will provide you with a tailored overview of the process and any additional visa charges associated with that..

    I hope this helps.

May 28, 2025 at 6:25 am in reply to: Plumber Technician job with visa sponsorship

    Hi Jerome,

Thanks for your message! It’s great to hear you’re interested in working as a plumber technician in Australia. Let’s explore the opportunities available to you.

    ANZSCO Code and Occupation Lists

Your occupation aligns with ANZSCO 334111 – Plumber (General). This role involves installing and repairing water, drainage, gas, and sewerage systems. To be eligible, you’ll typically need:

    1. An AQF Certificate III (including at least two years of on-the-job training) or an AQF Certificate IV.
    2. Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
    3. Registration or licensing is required to work as a plumber in Australia.

This occupation is listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), which means it is in demand across Australia and qualifies for various skilled visa pathways.

    Visa Sponsorship Opportunities

To find jobs that offer visa sponsorship:

    1. https://482jobs.com – This is one of our own websites, and all jobs listed here offer Australia Visa Sponsorship.

The job category here might be appropriate for your job as a plumber: https://482jobs.com/job-category/trades-services/

    2. https://seek.com.au

    3. https://indeed.com.au

For seek and indeed you will need to do some filtering as they advertise both sponsored and non-sponsored jobs in Australia.

    Non-Sponsored Visa Options

If you’re considering migrating without employer sponsorship, here are some visa options:

Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189): A points-tested visa for skilled workers not sponsored by an employer or family member. It grants permanent residency.

Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190): Requires nomination by an Australian state or territory and offers permanent residency.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491): A provisional visa for skilled workers willing to live and work in designated regional areas, providing a pathway to permanent residency.

To apply for these visas, you’ll need a positive skills assessment from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA).

This involves obtaining an Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) after a successful skills assessment. You can find more information and start the process through the official TRA website here: https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/

    Next Steps

Explore job opportunities on the websites mentioned above.

Consider the visa options that best suit your circumstances (sponsored/non sponsored)

Start your skills assessment process with TRA.

If you need help with any step or have more questions, feel free to ask!

    Best regards,

    Mark

May 26, 2025 at 7:13 am in reply to: Auto glazier Australia Visa Sponsorship

    Hi Louise,

Thanks for your post and for sharing your family’s aspirations to move to Australia. I understand it can feel overwhelming, but I’m happy to help clarify things for you where possible.

    Your Partner – Auto Glazier

The correct ANZSCO (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations) code for an autoglazier is 899412—Autoglazier. This occupation involves repairing and replacing windscreens and side and rear glass in motor vehicles.

However, it’s important to note that ANZSCO 899412 is not currently listed on any of the leading Australian occupations in demand lists such as the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), or the Regional Occupation List (ROL).

This means that standard skilled migration pathways, such as the Subclass 189, 190, or 491 visas, may not be available for this occupation as it’s not currently in demand.

That said, if an Australian employer is willing to sponsor him, there might still be opportunities through employer-sponsored visas.

You can explore job opportunities that offer visa sponsorship on our dedicated job board:

https://482jobs.com – All jobs listed here offer Australian visa sponsorship.

Two other sites worth checking are seek.com.au and indeed.com.au. Both seek and indeed offer both sponsored and non-sponsored roles; however, they will be useful sources to help identify the employers currently employing.

    Your Occupation – Flight Attendant

Given the result of your husband’s occupation, I checked yours as well, just in case. The ANZSCO code for a flight attendant is 451711—Flight Attendant. This occupation involves providing services for the safety and comfort of aircraft passengers.

Unfortunately, like the auto glazier occupation, ANZSCO 451711 is not currently listed on the MLTSSL, STSOL, or ROL. Therefore, standard skilled migration pathways may not be available. However, employer-sponsored visas could be an option if you secure a job offer from an Australian employer willing to sponsor you.

    Next Steps

Employer sponsorship would be the most viable pathway since both occupations are not on the current skilled occupation lists. I recommend:

    1. Exploring job opportunities on https://482jobs.com, where all listed jobs offer visa sponsorship.

    2. Network with potential employers in Australia who may be willing to sponsor your visas by identifying employers through platforms like Seek or Indeed.

    3. Considering consultation with a registered migration agent to explore other possible pathways, such as Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMAs), which may have different occupation lists and age limits (we can refer you to a registered agent we work with though note they do charge a small fee for this initial assessment)

I hope this information helps clarify your options. Feel free to ask if you have further questions or need assistance with specific aspects of the migration process.

    Warm regards,

    Mark

    Hi Brian,

You’re doing an outstanding job pulling together your documentation mate. You’ve already gathered an impressive body of evidence for your self-employed work, and it sounds like you’re well on track.

Here are a few recommendations to help structure both the client testimonial letters and your personal statutory declaration.

    1. Client Testimonial Letter Template

Each testimonial should ideally be written on the client’s official letterhead (if possible), dated, and signed. It should include:

    1. The client’s full name, position, and organisation
    2. The nature and duration of the professional relationship
    3. Description of the services you provided
    4. Confirmation that you were self-employed
    5. Project names and any deliverables or outcomes
    6. A clear statement that the work was carried out independently and not as an employee
    7. Contact details for verification

    Example:

    > [Client Name]

    [Position]

    [Company Name]

    [Address]

    [Date]

    To whom it may concern,

I confirm that I engaged the services of Mr Brian [Surname] as an independent contractor between [start date] and [end date]. Brian provided aerial survey services and project analysis for our organisation on [brief project description].

During this time, Brian demonstrated technical expertise, professionalism, and delivered outputs including [specific deliverables].

I understand Brian operated as a self-employed contractor under his registered business, [Business Name].

Should further verification be needed, I can be contacted on [email address] or [phone number].

    Sincerely,

    [Signature]

    [Full name and position]

    2. Your Personal Statutory Declaration

This should be a detailed and honest account, written clearly and professionally. You can make this a statutory declaration and get it certified by a notary or similar authority depending on your location.

    Include:

    1. Your full name and business name
    2. Time period you operated
    3. Types of services offered
    4. General business operations
    5. Key clients or contracts (even if you don’t name them, describe the type of work)
    6. Explanation of political/economic challenges and why you eventually moved on
    7. Mention supporting documents (invoices, registration, correspondence, etc.)

    Example format:

    > Statutory Declaration

I, Brian [Surname], of [Address], declare that between [month/year] and [month/year], I operated a sole proprietorship registered under [Business Name], providing aerial survey and geospatial services.

During this period, I completed projects including [brief summary]. These included [mention types of clients if relevant].

I maintained a business website, issued invoices, submitted project reports, and coordinated subcontractors where required.

Due to regional instability and lack of sustainable income opportunities, I ceased trading after approximately 6 months and accepted a full-time position overseas.

I am submitting this declaration in support of my visa application to confirm my self-employed experience. Supporting documents include business registration, invoices, project reports, and client letters.

I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the applicable laws of [Country].

You’re taking all the right steps here, and your documentation is already very thorough.

Let me know if you’d like me to help with anything else.

Keep in mind, in the unlikely scenario there are still gaps, you will be contacted by your case worker about any gaps and given the opportunity to explain them or provide additional information to address the gaps.

it would be highly unusual to be rejected at this stage of the process without being given any opportunity to address queries first.

    Keep at it mate.

    Warm regards,

    Mark

    Website: https://www.acrworld.com/sectors/architecture/

Note is part of my search, it was difficult to identify any of the agencies that specifically target overseas candidates though I can confirm they specialise in the types of roles and opportunities you are looking for.

I’d connect with each one via email to enquire if they have employer clients that might be interested in sponsoring.

Be conscious that they will be keen on your skills assessment and English language test status so I would recommend completing these before reaching out as you might get a bit of push back if you have still to pass these tests/assessments.

I hope this helps and please feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Best regards,

Hi Akanksha, welcome to our community and thanks for your post!

As an interior designer there are a few steps you can take to improve your chances of landing a job offer with visa sponsorship for Australia.

    1. Check Occupation Eligibility

Interior Designer falls under ANZSCO code 232511 and is currently listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).

This means you may be eligible for skilled visas like Subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated), Subclass 189 (Skilled Independent), or Subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) if you get state nomination or an employer sponsor.

    2. Search for Sponsorship Jobs

To find jobs that offer sponsorship:

https://482jobs.com – This is one of our own websites and all jobs listed here offer Australia Visa Sponsorship. You can browse roles or upload your resume directly: https://482jobs.com/candidates/submit-resume/

    Seek: https://seek.com.au

    Indeed: https://indeed.com.au

For seek and indeed. Some filtering is required as both sites publish non sponsored and sponsored listings

    3. Optimise Your Resume and LinkedIn

Australian employers expect a local-style resume. Here’s a guide to help format your CV:

    Australia Resume Tips: https://482jobs.com/australia-resume-tips-craft-winning-resume/

Also, update your LinkedIn to attract recruiters. These tips can help:

15 Expert Tips to Get Noticed by Australian Recruiters on LinkedIn: https://482jobs.com/15-expert-tips-to-get-noticed-by-australian-recruiters-on-linkedin

    4. Consider a Skills Assessment

For skilled visas, you’ll need a positive skills assessment through VETASSESS, the assessing authority for Interior Designers. See: https://www.vetassess.com.au

    5. Optional: Register with Recruiters

Once your resume is updated and aligned with Australian standards, share it with recruitment agencies that specialise in design and architecture roles.

I hope this helps you get started! Let me know if you’d like more info about any of the above or anything else.

  • Welcome to our community, Lisa! Thanks for introducing yourself.

May 24, 2025 at 10:29 am in reply to: Social worker from Sweden, would like to relocate to Australia on PR

Hi Charles, and welcome to Oz Visa Forum 🙂

Thanks for sharing your background as this is very useful context.

Here’s a few pathways/considerations for you to consider.

    Social Work Pathway

Your primary occupation aligns with ANZSCO 272511 – Social Worker, which is listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). This inclusion makes you eligible for several skilled visa options, such as:

Subclass 189 – Skilled Independent Visa

Subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated Visa

Subclass 491 – Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa

Subclass 186 – Employer Nomination Scheme Visa

Subclass 482 – Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Medium-Term Stream)

For a skills assessment, the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is the designated authority. They will evaluate your qualifications and experience to determine your eligibility.

    IT Pathway

Your IT certifications also present viable migration options:

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA): This certification aligns with ANZSCO 263111 – Computer Network and Systems Engineer.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional: This certification corresponds to ANZSCO 261313 – Software Engineer.

Both occupations are on the MLTSSL, making you eligible for the same skilled visa options mentioned above. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the assessing authority for these IT occupations. They consider both formal qualifications and relevant work experience or certifications.

    Strategic Considerations

Given your extensive experience in social work, pursuing migration through the Social Worker pathway might be more straightforward. However, your IT certifications could enhance your profile, especially if you have relevant work experience in IT. It’s essential to consider which pathway aligns best with your professional background and future career aspirations.

    Job Search Resources

To explore job opportunities that offer visa sponsorship in Australia, consider the following platforms:

    1. https://482jobs.com – This is one of our own websites, and all jobs listed here offer Australia Visa Sponsorship.

    2. https://seek.com.au

    3. https://indeed.com.au

Seek and indeed will require additional filtering as both sponsored and non sponsored roles are advertised.

    Next Steps

    1. Determine which occupation (Social Worker or IT professional) best reflects your experience and qualifications.
    2. Undergo a skills assessment with the relevant authority (AASW for Social Worker or ACS for IT occupations).
    3. Once you have a positive skills assessment, you can proceed with the visa application process.

I hope this information helps you in planning your move to Australia. If you have further questions or need assistance with any step of the process, feel free to ask.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. 🙂

    Warm regards,

Thanks Maria, and that’s a great decision!

Studying Certificate III in Commercial Cookery in Australia is a smart way to build your skills and increase your chances of getting a work visa later on. Here’s how the pathway usually works:

    1. Apply for a Student Visa (subclass 500) – You’ll need to enrol in a Certificate III (and usually Certificate IV) in Commercial Cookery with a CRICOS-registered provider. These courses usually take around 1.5 years in total.

    2. Work Rights While Studying – The student visa allows you to work up to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods and full-time during holidays. This gives you valuable local experience in hospitality.

    3. Post-Study Options – After graduating, many students go on to get sponsorship under the subclass 482 visa or apply for Graduate or Temporary visas (depending on eligibility and location).

    4. Next Steps – You can search for cookery courses through providers on https://cricos.education.gov.au Look for a Certificate III + IV package in Commercial Cookery.

If you get stuck, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help guide you further!

Ok well it’s super important to focus on the jobs that actively mention that sponsorship is available. We filter these on 482jobs for our members already but you will also find them on indeed and seek with the correct filters.

Also, the fact you have bad your skills assessed and IELTS confirmed is a big deal. Make sure you actively highlight this early in your resume and cover letter. As an employer, this helps them better understand that you are “move ready” which will give you a significant advantage over overseas candidates who are not.
