Thanks for your update, Sylvester! Great to hear you’re open to migrating to Australia.
Very quickly, I snipped your email _ i recommend not sharing any personal details on a public forum, instead, encourage users to message your privately through our platform (a little like Linkedin, all someone needs to do is click on your name and select the message option).
Given your background in road transport and logistics, there are definitely options available. Truck drivers are listed under ANZSCO 733111 and are eligible for Australia Visa sponsorship through the Subclass 482 visa (Temporary Skill Shortage), especially under the Regional Occupation List (ROL) and through Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMA).
We recommend checking out our site at 482jobs.com where every role includes visa sponsorship:
For example, we have a number of Australia Visa Sponsorship Opportunities for Truck Drivers:
https://482jobs.com/job/australia-visa-sponsorship-opportunities-for-truck-drivers/You can also explore similar sponsored jobs across Australia here:
https://482jobs.com/job-category/trades-services/For broader job searching (membership not required), you can also try:
-
https://seek.com.au (use search terms like “482 visa”)
-
https://indeed.com.au (same tip: include “visa sponsorship” in your search)
Lastly, you’re welcome to upload your resume to increase visibility with Australian employers:
https://482jobs.com/candidates/submit-resume/I hope this helps open doors to the right opportunity for you in Australia!
All the best

With your events and hospitality experience, you may be eligible for visa sponsorship in Australia under roles like:
Event Coordinator – ANZSCO 149311
This occupation is on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), which means you may qualify for an employer-sponsored subclass 482 visa, but it requires an employer willing to sponsor you.
Here’s how to start your job search:
1. 482jobs.com – This is one of our websites. Every job listed offers Australia Visa sponsorship:
https://482jobs.com/job-category/hospitality-tourism/
2. Seek – https://seek.com.au
Indeed – https://indeed.com.au
On both sites, use search terms like “visa sponsorship” or “482 visa” to filter results. Most listings won’t offer sponsorship, so this helps narrow it down.

AdministratorJune 24, 2025 at 10:33 pm in reply to: Seeking Employer Sponsorship & Guidance for 494 Visa – Welder/FabricatorHi Meghnath, thanks for sharing your background and goals so clearly – you’ve got great experience that could definitely support a 494 visa pathway to Australia.
Here’s some helpful guidance to get you started:
1. Jobs with Australia Visa Sponsorship for Welders Your occupation falls under ANZSCO 322313 – Welder (First Class), which is on the Regional Occupation List (ROL). This means you’re eligible to apply for the subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa, if you have an employer in regional Australia willing to sponsor you.
To find employers actively offering sponsorship:
Start with this site: https://482jobs.com – this is our job board, and every listing offers Australia Visa sponsorship.
Direct link for trades jobs like welding: https://482jobs.com/job-category/trades-services/
You can also check:
Seek: https://seek.com.au
Indeed: https://indeed.com.au On these sites, use search filters like “482 visa sponsorship” or “494 visa sponsorship” to focus on relevant results.
2. Employer Reference Letter for Welders For the sample employer reference letter; It needs to clearly outline:
- Your official job title
- Exact duties performed (aligned with ANZSCO 322313)
- Full-time hours worked
- Start and end dates
- Company letterhead, signature, and contact details
Let me know if you need more of a draft?
3. DIY vs Migration Agent If your English is good and you’re confident with paperwork, the 494 process can be done DIY, especially if your employer is experienced. However, a Registered Migration Agent (RMA) can:
- Help avoid delays or rejections
- Guide you through skills assessments and regional requirements
- Deal with employer nomination paperwork
You can search for registered agents at: https://www.mara.gov.au or we can refer you to an Mara Agent we work with for an initial 1:1 video assessment (they do charge a few for this service)
Let me know if you’d like further details.
I hope this helps for starters though please let me know if you have further questions.

AdministratorJune 24, 2025 at 10:25 pm in reply to: Seeking Guidance: Humanitarian Protection Visa or Other Options from IndiaHi Mahdi,
Thank you again for your openness and courage in sharing your story. We deeply appreciate your trust, and I’m so glad to hear our earlier reply gave you some hope.
Before I go into the visa details, just a quick reminder for your safety: please avoid posting sensitive personal information like passport numbers or your email address on public forums. While we’ve removed these from your post, it’s much safer to use our private messaging feature to share this information securely within the protected sections of our website. 🙂
Now to your questions:
1. Finding a Proposer for the Subclass 202 Visa
The Subclass 202 Global Special Humanitarian visa requires a proposer – someone who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. This person or organisation must be willing to support your application and help you settle in Australia.
Since you don’t have family in Australia, there are still potential options:
Community organisations or religious groups in Australia may be open to helping. This includes mosques, churches, refugee support groups, or humanitarian organisations.
You can also approach registered Australian charities or refugee networks that sometimes act as proposers or help facilitate these links.
Try contacting:
Refugee Council of Australia – https://www.refugeecouncil.org.au
Rural Australians for Refugees – https://www.ruralaustraliansforrefugees.org.au
Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) – https://asrc.org.au
Refugee Legal – https://refugeelegal.org.au
These groups often have connections with Australians willing to support a refugee under the humanitarian program.
Lastly, stay strong Mahdi! 🤗 your resilience is incredible. Keep reaching out of you have further questions.
Best wishes
Regards

AdministratorJune 24, 2025 at 10:09 pm in reply to: Advice Needed-Visa Sponsorship for PNG-Based Warehouse & Logistics ProfessionalHey @roybisaki / (Roy) and welcome to our community ☺️
Yes, your Papua New Guinea experience in warehouse and logistics coordination, especially in mining, oil & gas, can be highly valued by Australian employers, particularly in regional and remote areas where similar industries operate.
Here’s a breakdown to help you:
1. Visa Eligibility – TSS 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) Visa There are two ANZSCO roles that might match your profile:
ANZSCO 133611 Supply and Distribution Manager – on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), which means eligible for a 482 visa with pathway to permanent residency.
ANZSCO 591112 Production Clerk or ANZSCO 591211 Despatching and Receiving Clerk – unfortunately, these roles are not on the eligible skills list for the standard TSS visa, but may be available under DAMA agreements in some regional areas.
2. Employer Sponsorship for Offshore Candidates While sponsorship is more common in high-demand fields like healthcare or IT, Australian employers in mining, logistics, and regional operations do sometimes sponsor offshore candidates—especially those with strong industry experience and remote operations background like yours.
3. Where to Look for Visa Sponsorship Jobs Start with:
https://482jobs.com – this is one of our websites. Every job here has been verified as offering Australia visa sponsorship. For your field, check:
Trades & Services: https://482jobs.com/job-category/trades-services/
Construction: https://482jobs.com/job-category/construction/
Logistics roles are sometimes included under these.
Also try:
Use search terms like “visa sponsorship” or “482 visa” to filter results, as most jobs on Seek and Indeed do not offer sponsorship by default.
Next Steps for You:
Review the roles and try applying via 482jobs.com first or seek / indeed of you are happy to narrow down the search yourself.
Tailor your resume for the Australian market: https://482jobs.com/australia-resume-tips-craft-winning-resume/
You can also submit your resume here to be seen by Australian employers actively recruiting offshore talent: https://482jobs.com/candidates/submit-resume/
I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Your experience could be a strong match in Australia’s resource and logistics sectors, don’t hesitate to keep applying and reaching out.
Best of luck on your journey to Australia Roy!

AdministratorJune 23, 2025 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Seeking Guidance: Humanitarian Protection Visa or Other Options from IndiaHi Mahdi, thank you for sharing your story. I’m really sorry to hear about everything you’ve been through. Although I haven’t been through this myself, I’ve done some research on your behalf, as I’m sure your situation is not unique. Hopefully, this helps you and perhaps others who come across this thread, who might be able to provide some first-hand input.
Below, I’ve outlined your options so you can understand your current position and the steps you might take next.
1. Australia’s Humanitarian Program – Subclass 202 Visa (Offshore Refugee Visa)
Since you’re currently in India and recognised as a refugee by UNHCR, the most suitable pathway is likely the Subclass 202 (Global Special Humanitarian) visa.To be eligible:
-
You must be outside Australia.
-
You need a proposer, usually an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen (can be a family member, friend, or community organisation).
-
You must demonstrate compelling reasons for resettlement, including persecution or significant hardship, which you’ve already documented.
Unfortunately, UNHCR status alone doesn’t guarantee a visa. Australia’s humanitarian intake is limited and highly competitive.
2. Subclass 866 (Onshore Protection Visa)
The subclass 866 visa is only for people already in Australia, so it’s not applicable unless you’re able to travel here first, which usually requires another valid visa (like a tourist or student visa). Australia does not issue visas to individuals it suspects may claim asylum upon arrival so this is unlikely an option for you.3. Support Options from India
You may wish to:-
Connect with Australian-based sponsors — friends, relatives, or support groups who can propose you for a 202 visa.
-
Contact a reputable migration agent registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA): https://www.mara.gov.au . We have an agent we can refer you to for an initial assessment (they charge a small fee for this service).
-
Reach out to legal or advocacy groups, such as:
-
Refugee Legal: https://refugeelegal.org.au
-
Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC): https://asrc.org.au
-
Humanitarian Group: https://www.thehumanitariangroup.org.au
-
These organisations sometimes assist with humanitarian visa applications and may advise you or your proposer in Australia.
First step:
Try to find a proposer in Australia and connect them with one of the legal organisations listed above to begin assessing your eligibility for a Subclass 202 visa. You can read more about the Subclass 202 visa here:
https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/global-special-humanitarian-202I truly hope this gives you some hope and direction, Mahdi. Please don’t hesitate to post more questions. I’m here to support you where I can.

Hi Janice, thanks for reaching out and welcome to our community.
The great news is that both Chemical Engineer and Computer Programmer roles are in demand in Australia and appear on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). This means they are eligible for various skilled visa options, including:
-
Subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) visa
-
Subclass 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme) visa
-
Subclass 189/190 (Skilled Independent or State Nominated) visas if you meet the points requirements.
To find jobs that offer Australia Visa sponsorship, your best starting point is:
-
482jobs.com – this is one of our websites, and every job listed here has been verified as offering visa sponsorship in Australia.
You can browse these two categories specifically:
-
For Engineering roles: https://482jobs.com/job-category/engineering/
-
For IT/Programming roles: https://482jobs.com/job-category/information-communications-technology/
Also try:
But please note, Seek and Indeed mostly list local jobs, so be sure to search using terms like “482 visa sponsorship” or “visa sponsorship available”.
To boost your chances:
-
Upload your resume to our platform here: https://482jobs.com/candidates/submit-resume/

I’ll let you make that decision Theresa. Claire works for 482jobs.com which is also a website I own so if you use Claire. I benefit. I probably can’t advise you with any degree of impartiality in that regard. 🙂
What I would say is with Resumes, it’s often best to not overthink it. Your current resume was already pretty good. Start with a structure aligned with my feedback and use that as a new starting point. If you continue to not get much luck then you could consider other options at that stage.
Hope this helps

Hi Laarni, thanks for your message!
In Australia, most work visas are linked to specific occupations. This means that to be eligible for a visa like the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa, your job must appear on one of the Australian Government’s skilled occupation lists. These include:
- MLTSSL (Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List)
- STSOL (Short-term Skilled Occupation List)
- ROL (Regional Occupation List)
Each occupation is matched with an ANZSCO code (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations), which outlines the skills, qualifications, and experience required for the role.
To get started, please tell us your current job title or profession and how much experience you have in your occupation. I can then check if it’s on one of the approved occupation lists and let you know your visa options.
In the meantime, we recommend browsing jobs with verified Australia Visa sponsorship at https://482jobs.com — every listing here has already been confirmed to offer sponsorship.
Wishing you the best of luck with your plans to work in Australia!
