    Welcome to our community Ashish.

The Australia visa program is a skilled program which means they focus on skilled occupations in demand in Australia that they are unable to fulfil using local Australia resources.

Unskilled roles won’t qualify for visas through this route unfortunately.

Given you are from India. The Australian working holiday visa might be an option which will enable you to live and work in Australia.

You could use this time to build skills and a network which might open. We opportunities for you in the future.

See here for more information on the working holiday visa:

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/work-holiday-417

Might this be an option for you?

Hello again Mohamed and thank you for expanding on your earlier post.

The nearest occupation I could find is the sales representative for household goods as detailed here: https://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Previousproducts/6F3210C231AE9453CA2575DF002DA63A?opendocument

Unfortunately at the time of typing. This occupation does not qualify for an Australian visa.

You would need to target an occupation on one of the lists available here to apply.

    Welcome to our community Aziz

From the occupations you’ve mentioned which one do you have the most experience in and is that the role you have been doing most recently?

Your occupation will drive the Australia visa options available to you.

If you can confirm, I’ll then be able to provide more information about your potential options/next steps.

Welcome Walter, it’s great to meet you virtually 🙂

Sounds like you have some good experience, is mechanical engineer the role you’d be leading with from a visa application perspective?

If so, how much experience do you have and is this an area you have a university degree in?

    No worries Prasenjit

What occupation would you be using as a basis for your search.

I recommend registering a free account on our job boards at https://482jobs.com so we can email you if appropriate sponsored roles are added.

https://seek.com.au is the main job site in Australia and can serve as a useful resources to identify the companies recruiting for people with your skillset. Be mindful however that 95%+ of the jobs on seek are not offering Visa sponsorship though you might still find the insights helpful.

Welcome, Naim; I snipped your personal information. Please don’t share this on our forums, as spammers/scammers love this type of information. 🥷🏻 People can contact you via the messaging option if they need to.

Unfortunately warehouse packers will not qualify for Australia visas, but your mechanical engineering experience might be helpful.

Do you have a university degree for engineering?

Thanks Thomas, and great that you included the English test score. A lot of folks from English speaking countries think they don’t need to even though there are significant potential points on the table if they don’t (which is why I was checking) 🙂

It genuinely sound like you have every avenue covered so it’s probably more of a waiting game for now.

I’d keep an eye on 482 Visa job opportunities in parallel in the interim but other than that. Fingers crossed for an invite very soon.

    Thanks for that Rupali.

OK I have reviewed your resume and undertook an analysis of your experience. I have then attempted to align this with key occupations:

    1. Company Secretary (obviously)

    ANZSCO Code: 221211

This aligns with your experience in corporate governance, compliance, legal research, documentation, and managing secretarial responsibilities as we have discussed already.

    2. Corporate Governance Advisor

ANZSCO Code: 221211 (shared with Company Secretary roles under Corporate Governance specialisations).

Your work in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, and regulatory authorities fits well here.

    3. Corporate Services Manager

    ANZSCO Code: 132111

Skills in managing compliance, due diligence, and strategic mergers may align with this occupation.

    4. Paralegal

    ANZSCO Code: 599112

Your legal drafting, vetting of agreements, and management of statutory registers make this a suitable alignment.

    5. Legal Executive

    ANZSCO Code: 271311

Experience in drafting and legal insights into corporate transactions, as well as liaising with external consultants, supports this role.

    6. Management Consultant

    ANZSCO Code: 224711

Given your experience with due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and MIS reporting, this could also be a relevant match.

    So quite a few occupations.

That’s the good news, the not so good news:

Based on the latest information from the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs, the alignment of the mentioned roles with the current skilled occupation lists is as follows:

    1. Company Secretary which we have discussed already (ANZSCO 221211)

List: Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)

Details: This role is listed on the STSOL, making it eligible for certain, temporary / short term skilled visas.

    2. Corporate Services Manager (ANZSCO 132111):

List: Not currently listed on MLTSSL, STSOL, or ROL

Details: This occupation is not present on the primary skilled occupation lists, which may affect eligibility for general skilled migration visas.

    3. Paralegal (ANZSCO 599112):

List: Not currently listed on MLTSSL, STSOL, or ROL

Details: This role is not included in the main skilled occupation lists, potentially impacting visa options.

    4. Legal Executive (ANZSCO 599111):

List: Not currently listed on MLTSSL, STSOL, or ROL

Details: This occupation does not appear on the primary skilled occupation lists, which may influence visa eligibility.

    5. Management Consultant (ANZSCO 224711):

List: Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)

Details: This role is listed on the MLTSSL, making it eligible for a broader range of skilled visas.

Management consultant is a good one as it is a role that will enable you to apply independently of a sponsor. Here is the breakdown of the role

    https://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs%40.nsf/Product+Lookup/EE6BCD02875860AFCA257B95001310A5?opendocument

Might this be an option for you?

Hi Saroj, I recommend registering a free account on our website at 482jobs so we can email you when appropriate jobs are listed. Perhaps register two alerts. One for mechanical engineer and a seperate on for HVAC.

With regards to employers, I’d take a look at https://seek.com.au. Seek is the main job board here in Australia.

Although many of the jobs on this website are not sponsored (unlike 482jobs) it might be helpful in understanding who the main companies and recruiters are recruiting on your space.

Hello Suresh and welcome to Oz Visa Forum 🙂

When you say you can do any kind of care. What and been your your occupation previously and how much experience do you have.

You mention irrigation and then working in hospitals so I am a little confused 🤔 .

Your Visa options will link into your work experience which is why this information is important.

If you can confirm, I’ll then be able to guide you further.

Hello Prasenjit and welcome to our forum 🙂

In Australia, eligibility for skilled migration visas is determined by the occupation’s presence on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and its corresponding ANZSCO code. Here’s an assessment of some of the possible roles which might align with the experience you’ve mentioned:

    Retail Banking:

Business Development Manager: This role aligns with the ANZSCO code 225212. It is listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), making it eligible for certain skilled visas.

Relationship Manager: This title is broad and may correspond to various ANZSCO codes, depending on the specific industry and responsibilities. Further clarification of duties would be necessary to determine its eligibility.

Branch Manager: Corresponds to ANZSCO code 149914, titled “Financial Institution Branch Manager.” This occupation is on the STSOL, qualifying it for specific skilled visas.

Corporate Sales Manager: This role aligns with ANZSCO code 131112, “Sales and Marketing Manager,” which is on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), making it eligible for a broader range of skilled visas.

    Telecommunications:

Account Manager: This role may correspond to ANZSCO code 225211, “ICT Account Manager,” which is on the STSOL, making it eligible for certain skilled visas.

Enterprise Sales Manager: This title could align with ANZSCO code 131112, “Sales and Marketing Manager,” on the MLTSSL, qualifying it for a wider range of skilled visas.

Channel Sales Manager: Similar to the above, this role may also correspond to ANZSCO code 131112.

Business Growth Strategist: This specific title isn’t directly listed in ANZSCO. Depending on the responsibilities, it might align with roles such as “Management Consultant” (ANZSCO 224711), which is on the MLTSSL.

It’s important to note that visa eligibility depends not only on the occupation’s presence on the SOL but also on other factors such as qualifications, experience, and your English language proficiency.

Have you had any thoughts on the visa approach you’d prefer to take at this stage?

Hello Mohamed and welcome to our community.

As a carpenter on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), you qualify for several Australian visa options. If you’re specifically looking for sponsorship jobs, here are some approaches:

    1. Job Search Websites: Explore websites like ours at https://482jobs.com, which is dedicated to connecting skilled workers with Australian employers offering sponsorship under the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482). Additionally, platforms like Seek, Indeed, and LinkedIn often advertise sponsorship opportunities for carpenters.

    2. State or Regional Job Portals: Some Australian states and territories maintain their own job boards for regional employers offering sponsorship. For example, check websites like https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/regional-migration/regional-visas

    3. Contact Employers Directly: Research companies in the construction or building industry that are known to sponsor skilled workers. You can also approach registered migration agents to connect you with employers seeking carpenters.

    4. Networking: Join industry groups and forums where employers and workers interact, such as trade associations or online communities.

Beyond sponsorship, you also qualify for independent visa pathways, such as the Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) or the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190), which do not require employer sponsorship. These pathways might provide you with greater flexibility.

Have you considered applying for independent skilled visas? This may be preferable as you don’t need a sponsor and can register your interest in parallel to looking for a sponsored job.

Hello Forough and welcome to Oz Visa Forum. It’s great to have you here.🙂

Australian Visas options closely link to the type of occupation held by the applicant

With this in mind, qualifying the correct occupation type is often a key starting point.

Does this description below resonate with what you do?

    234413 HYDROGEOLOGIST

Monitors, measures, analyses and describes the earth’s surface and groundwater resources and many aspects of the water cycle, including human use of water resources.

If so I’ll use this as a basis for describing next step.

If you are curious, you can also read more about ANZSCO codes and how they work here.
