I’m very sorry Chinenye, I was mixing you up with another post I was replying to at a similar time 😌

Ok, on the project/program management side can you better define the projects you are working on.

For example, information technology, construction, HR related projects etc.

The reason I ask is this will help me better identify the occupation you’d fall under from a visa perspective.

Ah, the Lakeside. Used to be a regular haunt for me when I lived in the UK. 🙂

The sweetest treasure would be extremely popular here in WA. There are a number of sweet shops here in WA and the expats can’t get enough of them. Visa wise, it might be difficult to align with a specific occupation though General Management roles might be an option given your role in the company.

    On the mailingguy.

The National Innovation Visa (Subclass 858) might be an option though you would need to demonstrate that you are doing something cool in the innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship space. You would also need endorsement from a relevant Australian industry body or panel that recognizes your contributions in their field.

How’s your Australian network looking? Do you have any connections in the industry over here?

Absolutely. We see jobs on LinkedIn posting sponsored roles quite often. Just make sure you include the term “sponsorship” in your search criteria. This will also help you identify the employers for these roles which can be helpful from a general networking perspective.

Hi Roland, please start a new post rather than replying to a post on a different subject as it can cause confusion. I have moved your reply to a new post for you 👍🏻

With regards to your question. Teaching would be a better option as these roles tend be offered with sponsorship more often.

Do you have experience working as a teacher over the last 2-3 years?

Hmmmm. Good question. Can I just double check. Are the role/task descriptions here something you can align your experience with?

These are the skills you’d need to demonstrate to qualify for a number of Visa options.

Welcome to OVF Mujtaba and thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself. 🙂 Your specialism with cows may limit your opportunities (though they may still be out there)

Have you also practiced on other animals in the past few years?

The reason I ask is we do see veterinary roles advertised with Visa sponsorship though they tend to be more for pets rather than farm animals. To apply for these types of roles you’d need to demonstrate experience working with these animals in the past 2-3 years.

    All the best

Welcome to our community Josiah, it’s great to have you on board.

We run a number of other Australian migration related support sites though our sponsored job boards at https://482jobs.com may have some roles of interest.

Irrespective, we are happy to help answer your questions where we can. If you have them, please feel free to start a new topic in the appropriate forum and we’ll be happy to help. 👍🏻

Hey there, absolutely. It’s possible. However, can you please be a little more specific about your occupation?

For example, a waiter and a chef both work in hospitality, but their options are very different.🙂

Welcome Joseph. It’s nice to meet you virtually 🙂.

We see fitter roles advertised quite frequently though I’m unsure if they align with your specific example in fixed plant. We advertise these roles on one of our other websites at 482jobs which may be worth a look.

    https://482jobs.com/browse-jobs/?search_keywords=Fitter&search_location=&post_type=job_listing

If not suitable I’d recommend registering an account at 482jobs and registering a job alerts for the terms “fixed plant* and “fitter” so we can email you when additional roles are added by our small team to our database. 👍🏻

    Ah ok. Gotcha!

So generally the Australian migration Department requires that applicants have recent relevant experience (typically at least two years in the past five years) in the nominated occupation.

A long gap in the relevant field can make it difficult to demonstrate this.

With that said, I’m sure as an MD you probably get involved in lots of different elements of your role so theoretically you could demonstrate your involvement in elements of your job that equate to other occupations as well.

Although a concierge isn’t a occupation that currently qualifies there are a number of roles (restaurant managers and similar) that are advertised offering Visa sponsorship.

Here is an example of the skills you’d be expected to demonstrate you’ve undertaken in the last few years.

    Might this be an avenue?

January 16, 2025 at 10:22 pm in reply to: Procurement specialist looking for Australia Sponsorship

So the “Procurement Manager” role is on Australia’s regional occupations list which means it qualifies though if you find a role you would need to work in regional Australia. Thankfully, that doesn’t mean the middle of nowhere as areas just outside the major city CBDs qualify as regional in most cases.

If you are at a specialist rather than a manager level currently you may struggle Chinenye.

Also, what category are you procuring as some skills in certain procurement categories are more in demand than others.

Hi there Navid, we’d recommend searching our job boards at https://482jobs.com to see if we have something suitable for you.

How many years experience do you have or are you newly graduated?

    Cheers

Generally, you need to be able to demonstrate that you have the skills and experience for the role so that you are the most appropriate candidate (vs. a local Aussie who might say they could do the work as well).

If you have 20 years of experience in a role that requires 5, you would still be the most appropriate person for the role, even if the 5-year experience is the target benchmark.

I’m curious why other roles didn’t work out after job offers. Was this down to the $$ offered that you alluded to earlier?
